DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 Best-selling author Daniel Mendelsohn<\/a> has wowed critics and earned international acclaim with six published books and numerous essays and articles. On Wednesday, April 4, 2012<\/strong>, Mendelsohn will read at Western Connecticut State University from his latest work-in-progress.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cAntigone in Krakow: Reflections on Classics Lost and Found\u201d will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in Room 125 of the Science Building on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. A book signing and dessert reception will follow.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mendelsohn, who holds a doctorate in classics from Princeton University, will be reading from his yet-to-be-published \u201cODYSSEYS: Adventures in Reading the Greeks.\u201d <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mendelsohn, whose works have appeared regularly in The New Yorker and The New York Times, is the author of \u201cThe Elusive Embrace\u201d and \u201cThe Lost: A Search for Six of Six Million.\u201d Honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship, the National Book Critics Circle Citation for Excellence in book Reviewing and the George Jean Nathan Prize for Drama Criticism.<\/p>\n
