DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 She may not be human, but \u201cAlice in Wonderland\u201d is as real it comes and she will be part of the Women\u2019s History Month at Western Connecticut State University.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

WestConn student Jamison Odone will be on campus on Tuesday, March 9, from 4 to 5 p.m. to sign copies of his just-released book, \u201cAlice\u2019s Adventures in Wonderland.\u201d The book is the first in his \u201cStickfiguratively Speaking\u201d series from PublishingWorks Inc. The event will take place on the first floor of Warner Hall on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cLiterary nonsense turns to whimsical imagery with a macabre twist in the pen-and-ink drawings of Jamison Odone,\u201d the publisher said. \u201cStick figures have never emoted this much energy as each page brings a certain curiosity to a new light in this deconstruction of Lewis Carroll\u2019s classic.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The second book in the series, \u201cThe Legend of Sleepy Hollow\u201d is due out in September.

\n Odone is also the author of \u201cHoney Badgers\u201d and illustrator of \u201cThe Bedtime Train,\u201d both children\u2019s books.<\/p>\n
