DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 Western Connecticut State University<\/a> will host a flash mob dance in honor of International Women\u2019s Day<\/a> on Friday. This effort is in conjunction with One Billion Rising<\/a>, a mass global action to end violence against women and girls by joining people together in dance to raise awareness. The anthem is titled \u201cBreak the Chain<\/a>\u201d and the dance has been choreographed by Debbie Allen.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Two rehearsals will be held for those participating in the dance: from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013<\/strong>, in Rooms 212\/214 at the Westside Campus Center, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury, and from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013<\/strong>, in the Bill Williams Gymnasium in Berkshire Hall on the Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury.<\/p>\n

Participants will gather at noon on Friday, March 8, 2013<\/strong>, at the Alumni & Friends Circle on the Midtown campus. A presentation will be made by the Women\u2019s Center of Greater Danbury and the dancing will commence. Participants are asked to wear a red top and black pants to the event.<\/p>\n
