Twenge. And they have a sense of entitlement and expectations of rewards for little work. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Twenge, a professor of psychology at San Diego State University, will deliver the President\u2019s Lecture Series address, \u201cThe Narcissism Epidemic: Implications for Education and the Workplace,\u201d on <strong>Wednesday, November 9, 2011<\/strong>, at 7:30 p.m. in Ives Concert Hall in White Hall on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The free lecture is open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Twenge is the author of more than 80 scientific publications and the books \u201cThe Narcissism Epidemic: Living in the Age of Entitlement\u201d (with W. Keith Campbell) and \u201cGeneration Me: Why Today\u2019s Young Americans are More Confident, Assertive, Entitled \u2014 and More Miserable than Ever Before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>In the classroom and in the workplace, Twenge says the new generation of students and employees behave with a sense of entitlement and have inappropriate attitudes for school or business. She will discuss how to identify these behaviors and offer strategies to address them.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Twenge\u2019s research has been covered in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, and U.S. News and World Report.
