The events will focus on women and their contributions to literature, film, history and the community. This year marks the centennial anniversary of the <a href=\"http:\/\/memory.loc.gov\/ammem\/awhhtml\/aw01e\/aw01e.html\">Women\u2019s Suffrage March of 1913<\/a> in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>All events will be on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Admission to these events will be free and open to the public. In addition, artifacts from the WCSU archives will be on display on the first floor of the Haas Library.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>The events are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWomen and Revolutionary Rhetoric,\u201d <strong>Tuesday, March 5<\/strong>, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Room 508 Haas Library. Dr. Jeanne Lakatos will discuss the significance of women who have influenced various national revolutions from the late 18th century to the present through their use of language and rhetoric. Tea will be served.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWomen\u2019s Suffrage Centennial,\u201d <strong>Wednesday, March 6<\/strong>, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., first floor Haas Library. A three-member student panel will discuss the role and relationship between women and societal institutions within the larger context of social movements, policy change and collective memory. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Live music at the Coffeehouse, <strong>Thursday, March 7<\/strong>, at 8 p.m., Alumni Hall. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marcigeller.com\/fr_bioquotes.cfm\">Marci Geller<\/a>, who has appeared on \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxny.com\/category\/232991\/good-day\">Good Day NY<\/a>\u201d and other morning news programs, will perform Indie\/folk music.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Career Services Workshop: \u201cInterviewing Skills for Women,\u201d <strong>Wednesday, March 13<\/strong>, 12:15 to 2 p.m., Room 201, Student Center.  This workshop will provide advice for women entering the job market. Topics will include: negotiating salaries, appropriate attire, presentation and resumes. Lunch is provided.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStory Slam\u201d <strong>Thursday, March 14<\/strong>, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Room 201, Student Center. WCSU students will share stories that celebrate noble women in history. Winners will compete in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/#hl=en&amp;tbo=d&amp;sclient=psy-ab&amp;q=Connecticut+Storytelling+festival&amp;oq=Connecticut+Storytelling+festival&amp;gs_l=hp.3..0j0i30l2.73015.79613.3.79928.39.19.1.2.2.1.1753.11497.1j8j1j0j1j1j2j3j2.19.0.les;..0.0...1c.1.2.hp.SgeA10nLCjk&amp;pbx=1&amp;bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_q\">Connecticut Storytelling Festival<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Screening of \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0073858\/\">Die Verlorene Ehre der Katarina Blum<\/a>,\u201d <strong>Friday, March 15<\/strong>, from 7 to 10 p.m., White Hall, Viewing Room 1.  This German film, \u201cThe Lost Honor of Katarina Blum\u201d offers a ground-breaking look at women\u2019s issues.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Danbury Women\u2019s \u201cMentor of the Year\u201d award, <strong>Thursday, March 21<\/strong>, at 7:30 p.m., Student Center Theatre.
