DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 Western Connecticut State University\u2019s spring production, \u201cSeussical, the Musical,\u201d will transport the audience into the imaginary world of Dr. Seuss this month, as Horton the Elephant will attempt to protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck of dust. The play will be staged at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14<\/strong>, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 15<\/strong>, in the Berkshire Theatre in Berkshire Hall on the WCSU Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. This fantastic, magical, musical extravaganza brings to life some of Dr. Seuss\u2019s favorite characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird and Jojo, a little boy with a big imagination. The powers of friendship, love, and commitment are challenged and ultimately emerge triumphant in a story that is fun for all ages.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think adults and kids would like this equally … it\u2019s so much fun,\u201d predicted Andrew Hendrick, of Fairfield, who portrays Uncle Harry Who, Jojo\u2019s uncle. \u201cIt\u2019s like when adults go to Disney World \u2014 you will be transformed into a kid again.\u201d<\/p>\n
