The show is based on the lives of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Salvadoran peasant activist Rufina Amaya and Argentinean poet Alfonsina Storni. The Core Ensemble includes cellist Tahirah Whittington, pianist Hugh Hinton, percussionist Michael Parola, and actress Georgina Corbo, who will portray the featured women. Corbo has appeared on television shows such as \u201cLaw &amp; Order\u201d and \u201cNew York Undercover.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>The storylines will focus on Kahlo\u2019s dramatic and passionate relationship with painter Diego Rivera, Amaya\u2019s astounding singular survival of the massacre at El Mozote and Storni\u2019s challenges as Argentina\u2019s first well-known feminist poet.
