The new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/svpa\/svpa-center.asp\">Visual and Performing Arts Center<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/\">Western Connecticut State University <\/a>was ranked No. 9 on the nationwide list.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Western\u2019s facility is listed in the top 10 along with arts centers at California Polytechnic State University, Emerson College, Sonoma State University, the University of North Texas, Emory University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Lynn University, Soka University and the University of Northern Iowa. Farther down the list are large, private institutions that include the University of Notre Dame, Syracuse University, Depaul University and New York University<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/music\/faculty\/dan_goble.asp\">Dr. Dan Goble<\/a>, dean of Western\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/svpa\/\">School of Visual and Performing Arts<\/a>, was not surprised by the high ranking.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis great news is yet another example of how WCSU represents a tremendous value for residents of Connecticut and the surrounding region,\u201d Goble said. \u201cThis facility was designed by the finest architects, acousticians and theatrical consultants in the world \u2026 and it shows.
