WCSU extends deadline for fall deposits

DANBURY, Conn. — Western Connecticut State University has moved the deadline to pay housing and registration deposits for freshmen entering this fall to June 1.

The $200 tuition deposit and $250 deposit for on-campus housing are normally due May 1.

“With all of the insecurity and economic uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 virus, we wanted to give families more time to make their decisions and commit to the next semester,” said Jay Murray, WCSU associate vice president of Enrollment Management. We hope the new date lessens the stress.”

Because of the Coronavirus, WCSU has shifted classes to online learning and closed all campus buildings. Students may continue to contact the Admissions office and other university services, as employees are working from home and remain connected to their offices.
