The online application is located at: \u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/graduate\/application\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WCSU Graduate Program Applications<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<div id=\"attachment_905\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-905\" class=\"wp-image-905 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/psychology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2019\/10\/MS-in-Addiction-Studies-first-cohort-fall-2019-300x214.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/psychology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2019\/10\/MS-in-Addiction-Studies-first-cohort-fall-2019-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/psychology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2019\/10\/MS-in-Addiction-Studies-first-cohort-fall-2019-768x549.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/psychology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2019\/10\/MS-in-Addiction-Studies-first-cohort-fall-2019-1024x731.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-905\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Graduates 2020<\/p><\/div>\r\n<p>Our requirements:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education at time of entry into the program.<\/li>\r\n<li>One official transcript mailed to the Office of Graduate Admissions from each college or university previously attended, including all earned grades and degree(s).<\/li>\r\n<li>Applicant\u2019s cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) must be at least a 3.0 for admission consideration*.<\/li>\r\n<li>Applicants are asked to submit a resume and a personal statement questionnaire.<\/li>\r\n<li>It is preferred for students to have skills (e.g., completed coursework) in the following areas:\r\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\r\n<li>basic understanding of the DSM-5-TR<\/li>\r\n<li>applied experience in psychology, mental health, addictions, or a related field<\/li>\r\n<li>research methods in the behavioral sciences<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>Such courses are not required. Applicants should specify the relevant courses or experiences they have completed.<\/p>\r\n<p>Once requirements are met, an interview with the department admissions committee will be scheduled. Acceptance letters are sent within 3 weeks of interviews.<\/p>\r\n<p>*There may be alternate pathways to enter the program if GPA requirements are not met by taking pre requisite coursework in psychology.
