CSUS Trustees Scholarship Program
CSUS Trustees Scholarships up to full tuition (exclusive of fees) are available for students majoring in art, music or theatre.
1. All applicants for the Trustees Scholarship must submit high school and/or college transcripts or other documentation demonstrating evidence of academic achievement and potential for academic success at WCSU. Candidates must have maintained the equivalent of a “B” average at the high school and/or collegiate levels.
2. Trustees Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 throughout their course of study and must continue in the major area of study in which they enter WCSU.
3. Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of 8 semesters. Transfer students will be pro-rated according to the total semester hours credit remaining at WCSU for graduation. Example: a student entering WCSU as a sophomore would be eligible for a Trustees Scholarship for a maximum of 6 semesters.
Department of Art
Trustees Scholarship applicants must submit a portfolio consisting of 10 pieces of varied work. The Portfolio Review Committee shall be comprised of two or more faculty members. An assessment matrix with ranked categories shall be utilized to assess submitted portfolios. To submit your portfolio click here.
Department of Music
Trustees Scholarship applicants in the Department of Music shall show evidence of achievement in their major musical area in the form of an audition. The audition will be evaluated by a panel of two to three Department of Music Faculty members. Multiple candidates will be ranked according to their overall audition evaluation results. Department of Theatre Arts
Trustees Scholarship applicants in the Department of Theatre Arts shall show evidence of achievement in their major area in the field of theatre arts in the form of an audition and/or portfolio. The audition and/or portfolio will be evaluated by a panel of two to three Department of Theatre Arts Faculty members. Multiple candidates will be ranked according to their overall audition and or/portfolio evaluation results.
