Eileen Campbell, Ed.D, APRN, A-CNS, CNS-CP, CNOR

Adjunct faculty member of WCSU since the Fall of 2008, joining the nursing faculty as an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Fall of 2016. Ed.D from WCSU/SCSU. Received ADN from Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College, Bronx, NY, BSN from Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY, Bronx, NY and MS in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist track from WCSU.

Currently practicing as an APRN in the areas of perioperative medicine and pain management. Practiced as a Registered Nurse within the areas of home health nursing, community nursing, long term care, medical-surgical and perioperative nursing. Past professional roles include Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative Education for a large health care system covering three hospitals. Maintains certification and professional practice as a Certified Nurse Operating Room Nurse since 2000. Board Certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the areas of Adult Health and Perioperative Nursing. Board Certified as an Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse Specialist in perioperative nursing in the inaugural offering of this national certification.

Member of the Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society. Recipient of the New Beginnings Nursing Masters Scholarship, WCSU,  and the Mary Ann Riley Scholarship, WCSU. Union Savings Bank Endowed Scholarship, WCSU. Recipient of the Pat Kroah award for Excellence in Communication, Lehman College. Received a scholarship from NYU to complete course “Substance Abuse in the Minority Community”. Authored three published book reviews for the AORN Journal. Co-Authored two book chapters on Perioperative Medicine (2020). Published research in the American Society For Pain Management Nursing (2020).

Research interests include nursing education research, pain management, and substance use disorders.
