Dr. Nancy N. Heilbronner is an Assistant Professor in the Instructional Leadership Doctoral Program in the Department of Education and Educational Psychology, where she teaches classes on talent development, leadership, technology, creativity, and statistics.<\/p>\n
She is the author of the book, Ten Things NOT to Say to Your Gifted Child,<\/em> and co-author of the science methods book ThinkData, Think Instruments<\/em>. Her next book, Let\u2019s Be Scientists, <\/em>a practitioner\u2019s guide for classroom science teachers, will be published in the Spring of 2013. She regularly publishes scholarly articles in professional journals such as Gifted Child Quarterly<\/em> and Journal for Education<\/em> of the Gifted<\/em>, as well as practitioner articles in\u00a0 Science Scope, Gifted Child Today, and Parenting for High Potential.<\/em><\/p>\n Dr. Heilbronner is also active in service to the community and university, and she currently serves as on the Board of the Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG) and co-chairs their Professional Development Program.<\/p>\n Dr. Heilbronner received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia, her M.S. degree in Gifted Education from the University of South Florida, and her Ph. D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
