Episodes two through eight of the show\u2019s first season are currently available to watch on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC8j19zfxufhmfHeLiGDuG5w\">YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Conroy received their B.A. in Theatre Arts Performance from WCSU, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2010. During their time in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/theatrearts\/\">WCSU Department of Theatre Arts<\/a>, she contributed to many productions, including \u201cCabaret\u201d at Berkshire Theatre and \u201cA Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream\u201d at Ives Concert Park, as well as a performance of \u201cRomeo and Juliet\u201d at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.<\/p>\n<p>She notes her experience performing in WCSU\u2019s New York City production of \u201cSongs for a New World\u201d had a profound impact on her future career as an actor and producer. \u201cMy directors and teachers, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/theatrearts\/faculty\/Frank-Herbert\/\">Frank Herbert<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/theatrearts\/faculty\/Pam-McDaniel\/\">Pam McDaniel<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/theatrearts\/faculty\/Sal-Trapani\/\">Sal Trapani<\/a>, helped make my time at WCSU an amazing experience,\u201d Conroy recalled.<\/p>\n<p>After their studies at WCSU, Conroy trained for two years at the William Esper Studio\u2019s Meisner Acting Conservatory, after which she acted in several stage productions, television shows and films. Most recently, Conroy co-starred in \u201cCrashing\u201d a series on HBO.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, Conroy began writing \u201cHuman Telegraphs\u201d with her friends and fellow actors Rachel Kay Barclay and Fern Lim. \u201cHuman Telegraphs is a quirky female-driven web series capturing the magic of strangers caught in unexpected intimate collisions in the big city,\u201d reads the show description on its website.<\/p>\n<p>To produce the series, they formed Three Bright Lights Productions in 2017 and began working on the first episode. The trio took to crowdfunding website Seed &amp; Spark the next year, once they completed the pilot, in order to fund the production of the remaining seven episodes of the first season.<\/p>\n<p>On their website, Three Bright Lights describes its mission as being \u201ccommitted to giving a platform to women in the film and television industry by incorporating them into leading roles and defying the traditional female character tropes often portrayed on screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conroy, Barclay and Lim spent the next few years producing the web series and released it in mid-November 2021. In the months since its release, \u201cHuman Telegraphs\u201d has garnered numerous awards and nominations from several prominent festivals and outlets. Among the awards, the show was declared Best Web Series at both the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newyorkinternationalfilmawards.com\/\">New York International Film Awards<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/fifflondon\">Falcon International Film Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Individually, Conroy won both \u201cbest actress\u201d and \u201cbest director\u201d at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt16366944\/\">British Web Awards<\/a>.
