Rob Decina

Rob is a casting director, with recent television credits including casting the Netflix dark comedy, INSATIABLE as well as all three seasons of SHADES OF BLUE for NBC. He was the NY Casting Director for the 2017 & 2018 pilot seasons for the CW Network working on the reboots of CHARMED & DYNASTY as well as several other pilots. He had the pleasure of working on the feature film, THE COMEDIAN Directed by Taylor Hackford and starring Robert DeNiro. As well as the new Tom Hanks film, GREYHOUND. Past credits include pilots for ABC FAMILY and Warner Bros. Studios where he worked on over 40 pilots such as the iconic WEST WING and the first season of THIRD WATCH. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards and eight Artios awards for his casting of the CBS daytime drama, GUIDING LIGHT, where he was also a Director. He holds an MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College, a BA in Literature and Communications from Pace University and completed the Juilliard School of Drama Directing Internship program. An Adjunct Professor in Communications for 16 years at Pace University. He has also taught Acting for the Camera at NYU and Keane University and has been a guest speaker at many colleges and conservatories on the subject of acting and auditioning. His book, The Art of Auditioning: Techniques for Television was published by Allworth Press in 2004. He is a member of CSA, DGA and Teamsters local 817 (Casting Directors).
