Full-length plays include 2022 FutureFest finalist<em>\u00a0The Little Sisters of Littleton,\u00a0The 36<\/em><em><sup>th<\/sup><\/em><em>\u00a0Line<\/em>, winner of the Dorothy Silver Playwriting Competition, finalist for the Julie Harris Playwriting Award, and semi-finalist for the National Playwriting Conference at the O\u2019Neill. Her newest work,\u00a0<em>Margot<\/em>, will be read soon at the Actors Studio Playwright\/Directors Unit where she is a member. Short plays include\u00a0<em>Bread\u00a0<\/em>in\u00a0<em>Laughter is the Best Medicine: Forty-Five 5-Minute Plays in the Time of\u00a0Coronavirus<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Scarsdale<\/em>\u00a0in\u00a0<em>The Best Ten-minute Plays of 2021,\u00a0<\/em>both published by Smith &amp; Kraus,\u00a0<em>Blue Sky with Approaching Storm,<\/em>\u00a0published by\u00a0ArtAge,\u00a0<em>Missus Dobbs, American<\/em>, featured at the Rogue Theatre Festival and the Writers Playground at Sharon Playhouse, and, in its filmed version, a semi-finalist at the San Francisco and New Jersey Film Festivals. Two other short plays have been filmed and\u00a0can be seen on YouTube:\u00a0<em>A Nice Drive\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Planning Ahead. <\/em>As an actor, she debuted on\u00a0Broadway\u00a0as Tzeitel in <em>Fiddler\u00a0on the\u00a0Roof\u00a0<\/em>opposite Zero Mostel<em>\u00a0<\/em>and repeated the role opposite Herschel Bernard, directed by Jerome Robbins.<em>\u00a0<\/em>With lots in between, her\u00a0last NY appearance was in the off-Broadway production of<em> Daddy Issues<\/em>. TV and film roles include\u00a0<em>Nurse Jackie <\/em>and\u00a0more.<em> \u00a0<\/em>Kate holds an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing with concentrations in Playwriting and Memoir from Western Connecticut State University, and a BFA in Acting from Boston University.
