BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS IN THEATRE ARTS - ACTING (B.F.A.)<\/h3>\n

Entry Requirements: <\/strong>Prospective students must schedule an on-campus audition for acceptance into the BFA in Theatre Arts - Acting Concentration degree program. \u00a0There is currently no prescreen requirement to be granted an in-person audition. \u00a0For more information about how to request an audition appointment, and what to prepare, please visit the BFA Auditions - Acting webpage here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Degree Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong>All degrees at WCSU require 120 semester hours (SH). This includes major requirements, general education requirements, cognates (where applicable), and free electives. This structure provides room for minors, internships, and study abroad.<\/p>\n

Student Standing:\u00a0<\/strong>Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0. \u00a0Theatre courses with grades lower than \u201cC\u201d will not be accepted as meeting the requirements for the major.<\/p>\n

General Education<\/strong>: All students must complete the General Education curriculum. General Education Requirements include both competency and breadth requirements. In some cases, major courses will satisfy competencies. These are indicated in the parentheses after the course title. For a complete description of the General Education program, click here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Cognates<\/strong>: In some programs there are courses outside of the major that are required as pre-requisites or enhancements to the major course work. These courses may satisfy competencies and they will count toward the\u00a0general education\u00a0breadth requirement.\u00a0If cognate courses are required,\u00a0they are included in the\u00a0list of courses required in the major.<\/p>\n

Electives:<\/strong>\u00a0All degrees require 120 semester hours.\u00a0\u00a0Elective credits are opportunities for minors, internships, study abroad, and just following general interests. We encourage all students to speak with their advisors about\u00a0great opportunities for their elective courses.<\/p>\n
