 <\/p>\n

Students wishing to pursue a BFA Theatre\u00a0Arts - Acting degree in the Department of Theatre Arts must adhere to the following criteria for admission:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Perform and pass an in-person audition for members of the faculty. \u00a0The student, through this audition process, must exhibit the standards and skill sets required for entry into the Acting program, including:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Ability to effectively perform a 60-90 second contemporary monologue (written after 1950<\/em>) from a published play.<\/li>\n
  2. Ability to effectively perform a 60-90 second classical monologue (written before 1950<\/em>) from a published play.<\/li>\n
  3. Provide three copies of a picture and resume at the time of your audition.<\/li>\n
  4. Fulfill general admission guidelines found in the\u00a0catalog for the university<\/a>, school, and department.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Admission Auditions for BFA in Theatre Arts - Acting Concentration<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n

    Prospective applicants are encouraged to have submitted their application for admission to the university prior to scheduling an audition.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    In-Person Auditions at Western Connecticut State University\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Prospective BFA Acting students are asked to schedule an in-person audition on one of the following dates:<\/p>\n

    \n

    On-Campus: Saturday,\u00a0<\/strong>December 5, 2026\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

    On-Campus: Saturday, January 30<\/strong>, 2027<\/b><\/p>\n

    On-Campus: Friday, February 26, 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    NYC National Unified Auditions: To be Announced<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Chicago National Unified Auditions: To be Announced<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    For the BFA Acting program, there is currently no prescreen requirement to be granted an in-person audition.<\/p>\n
