The Student Veterans Organization (SVO) is a club that was established in 2009 to acknowledge and support the needs of WCSU\u2019s military servicemen and women.\u00a0 Officially recognized and endorsed by the Student Government Association, the SVO is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students who wish to support and serve other students.\u00a0 Although most members are Veterans, this is not a requirement.\u00a0 All students are welcome to join!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The SVO will be hosting social events and will sponsor a variety of fundraising activities in the coming year. \u00a0Additionally, the SVO leaders work hard to provide the necessary resources, network support, and advocacy to ensure student Veterans can effectively connect and make new social bonds. \u00a0With the continued help and support of WCSU\u2019s dedicated faculty, staff, and generous contributions made by members of the Danbury area, the SVO plans to continue expanding its support of Veterans at WCSU and our troops around the world. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The SVO generally meet every other week to socialize, provide outreach, and plan for future events.\u00a0 The club is located in the Student Center, Room #208 (Midtown Campus).\u00a0 This room was dedicated for use by WCSU to honor and support our student Veterans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
