This scholarship is restricted to applicants who are focusing on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Applicants must hold a 3.0 or greater grade point average (GPA).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.legion.org\/scholarships\/legacy\">American Legion Legacy Scholarship<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.legion.org\/scholarships\/legacy\">: \u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/span>Provides college scholarship money to children of Post 9\/11 Veterans who died on active duty, or have a combined VA disability rating of 50% or greater.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/amvets.org\/scholarships\/\">American Veterans (AMVETS) Scholarship<\/a><\/span><\/strong>:\u00a0 Offers scholarships to active duty service members and veterans in the amount of $4,000 a year.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/e-anca.org\/Scholarships\">Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA)<\/a><\/span><\/strong>:\u00a0 Offers $3,000 to current members of the U.S. Armed Forces personnel or Veterans. This scholarship is available to students pursuing bachelors, masters, or doctoral degrees in nursing or nurse anesthesia. Members of any branch of the military are welcome to apply.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.awfdn.org\/scholarships\/general-information\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Army Women&#8217;s Foundation Legacy Scholarship<\/strong><\/span>:<\/a>\u00a0 Applicant must be a woman who has served or is serving honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, Army National Guard or the child of a woman who served honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard.\u00a0 Awards are based on merit, community service, and letters of recommendation, and can be applied to certificate, undergraduate and graduate programs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.afcea.org\/dynform\/forminp.jsp?fid=8914&amp;utm_source=Informz&amp;utm_medium=Email&amp;utm_campaign=Informz%20Email&amp;_zs=3jtmj1&amp;_zl=Hv2S7\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Colonel Kathleen Swacina Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0\u00a0Member of the U.S. armed forces or enrolled in a ROTC program; an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. armed forces; or a direct descendant of an AFCEA member, or an honorably discharged member of the armed forces, studying a STEM major and maintains a cumulative 2.8 or higher GPA.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/education\/other-va-education-benefits\/stem-scholarship\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship<\/strong><\/span>:<\/a>\u00a0 For students training in high demand STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. Recipients will receive up to 9 months of additional Post 9\/11 GI Bill entitlement for a maximum of $30,000.\u00a0 Eligible students must have either exhausted or will exhaust their entitlement within 180 days.\u00a0 Eligibility for the scholarship has 2 paths:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A student enrolled in a STEM program leading to an undergraduate degree who has completed 60 credit hours of their program and requires at least 120 semester (or 180 quarter) credit hours to graduate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A student who has earned a STEM undergraduate degree and has enrolled in a teaching certification program.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sacregcf.academicworks.com\/opportunities\/929\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Graydon and Myrth Fox Scholarship<\/span><\/strong><\/a>:\u00a0 Veterans and their families can qualify for a renewable award in the amount of $1,000 to $5,000. The scholarship is offered by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation and requires students to attend an accredited institution and have financial need. Applicants are required to submit verification of honorable service.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.afcea.org\/dynform\/forminp.jsp?fid=8912&amp;utm_source=Informz&amp;utm_medium=Email&amp;utm_campaign=Informz%20Email&amp;_zs=3jtmj1&amp;_zl=Fv2S7\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Intel-AFCEA Graduate Diversity Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0 Awards $3,000 per to full-time college students.\u00a0 Must be a member of an underrepresented minority (includes female, African American, Latin\/Hispanic origin, and\/or Native American), currently pursuing a graduate degree (master&#8217;s or PhD) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and either a current member of the armed forces, have prior military experience, or be a Gold Star Family Member majoring in one of the STEM disciplines.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gibill.custhelp.va.gov\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/1411\/~\/what-is-the-fry-scholarship-and-who-is-eligible%3f\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship<\/strong><\/span>: \u00a0<\/a>Provides Post 9\/11 GI Bill\u00ae benefits to the children and surviving spouses of Service members who died in the line of duty while on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.\u00a0 Eligible beneficiaries attending school may receive up to 36 months of benefits at the 100% level; including all tuition costs for educational expenses that occur at in-state public institutions, a monthly living stipend and book allowance under this program.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/purpleheartfoundation.org\/services\/scholarships-2\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Purple Heart Scholarship Fund<\/span><\/strong><\/a>:\u00a0 This scholarship is offered by the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) to members who have received a Purple Heart, their spouses and dependents, as well as dependents and spouses of military members who were killed as a result of duty. The application for the Purple Heart Scholarship Fund has a value of $5,000 that can be applied to tuition, fees and other expenses.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/studentveterans.org\/programs\/scholarships?layout=edit&amp;id=752\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Raytheon Patriot Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0 Provides two $10,000 scholarships to student Veterans demonstrating a commitment to and passion for their chosen field of study, as well as demonstrated leadership and engagement within their community.\u00a0 This scholarship is offered exclusively to U.S. Army Veterans.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pattillmanfoundation.org\/apply-to-be-a-scholar\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Tillman Scholars Program<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0 The Pat Tillman Foundation awards an average of $11,000 every year to students based on humility in leadership as well as their dedication to learning and service. This scholarship program is available to Veterans, active duty military and spouses who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program full-time. To apply for this scholarship, students will need to submit the required documents, including essays, prior to the beginning of March each year.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vfw.org\/assistance\/student-veterans-support\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0 Offers scholarships of up to $5,000. Applications are accepted from January through April for the fall semester and August through November for the spring semester.
