She has been at WPC for 4 years, and with CIRES for almost 3 years. Her research at WPC examines heavy rainfall and involves forecast verification, focusing on urban flash flooding and on tropical cyclone rainfall. Prior to joining CIRES, Erica earned her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Western Connecticut State University before going on to earn a Ph.D. in Marine and Atmospheric Science from Stony Brook University.
