In this presentation, professor Brizuela will explore the origins and evolution of tango, a cultural phenomenon born as a fusion of African rhythms\u00a0and European melodies and instruments in the Rio de la Plata region in present-day Argentina and Uruguay.\u00a0Professor Brizuela holds her Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics from USC and is a researcher, practitioner, instructor and choreographer of tango.
