Internships may include teaching creative and\/or professional writing in secondary schools, colleges\/universities, and\/or in the local community at libraries, senior centers, shelters, or correctional facilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Students interested in pursuing writing positions after graduation might complete an internship at a nonprofit organization, a commercial magazine, or a book publisher or press, where they&#8217;ll develop their skills as grant writers, technical writers, speech writers, or copyeditors. <a href=\"mailto:dariesa@wcsu.edu\">The MFA Coordinator<\/a> works closely with each student to develop an internship that aligns with their academic and professional goals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the goals of our program is to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in their chosen field.
