The Wolves Recreation Department is dedicated to providing the campus community with a multitude of various recreational activities to encourage physical fitness, promote a positive well-being, and to have some fun.
Our university is unique in that the WestConn community can utilize athletic facilities on two different campuses. At Midtown you will find the brand-new, state-of-the-art, Fitness Center and the newly renovated Bill Williams Gym both located in Berkshire Hall. There is also a Fitness Studio located in the Student Center, which contains heavy bags, ropes, jump boxes, kettlebells and more, designed for circuit training and plyometric workouts. Outdoor play consists of a Recreation Field and sand volleyball court. At Westside you will find the Westside Fitness Center currently located on the lower level of Centennial Hall. Both fitness centers have cardio machines and strength training machines. Our Westside Campus also is home to William A. O’Neill Athletic and Convocation Center, which houses four full courts for basketball and volleyball and the Westside Athletic Complex which houses three spacious practice fields and six lighted tennis courts. The lighted Recreation Field is also the primary location for our Intramural Leagues.
