EdAdvance will accommodate university students' fingerprint needs even though the student does NOT know at that time the school district in which they will be placed to intern, perform classroom observation and/or student teach.
Our base fingerprint fee has been reduced to $36.00 via certified bank check or money order payable to EdAdvance (formerly EDUCATION CONNECTION because we changed our name).
EdAdvance will have the Connecticut Department of Public Safety and the FBI process the student's fingerprint card. Once we receive a student's results we will retain them in our files for up to four (4) years.
The day of fingerprint a student will received a memorandum on EdAdvance letterhead dated & signed by our fingerprint technician that he/she was, in fact, fingerprinted by EdAdvance. It will be the student's responsibility to share a copy of this confirmation memorandum with their university since the university will NOT receive the student's results after having a background check.
Once a student knows the school district they will be placed, the student needs to email Nancy Luchene at firstname.lastname@example.org the school district they are being placed in -- Nancy needs to have this request from the student in writing. She will share the student's fingerprint results with the school district stated in the student's email.
Please note if the school district is NOT one of our 30 membership districts there will be an additional fee of $1.00 per non-membership district. This can be paid for via personal check payable to EdAdvance and mailed to Nancy Luchene's attention at EdAdvance, P.O. Box 909, Litchfield, CT 06759.
