Health Alert-Coronavirus

Please follow these guidelines if you have traveled to China in the last 14 days or been in close contact with a person known to have 2019-nCoV illness:

  • If you develop fever, cough, or shortness of breath seek medical care right away.
  • It is important that you call ahead before arriving at the emergency department, WCSU Health Services, or doctor’s office!
  • Students should call WCSU Health Services at (203) 837-8594. After hours, go to the Danbury Hospital Emergency Department.
  • Faculty/Staff should contact their primary care physician or go to a local urgent care office.

Smoke and Vape Free Campus

WCSU has committed to being a smoke and vape free campus as of June 30th, 2023.

 

We have partnered with The Truth Initiative to support and encourage our community to move in a health-focused direction by encouraging the cessation of all nicotine products, particularly cigarettes and vapes.

The purpose of this policy is not punitive, but to encourage our community to make steps towards leading a more healthful, substance-free life.
