On April 3-4, 2025, two Senior finance majors in the Kathwari Honors Program, Maia Quirk and Matthew Maloney, traveled to New York City with Finance and Honors Faculty member Dr. Lin to attend the Global Asset Management Education (GAME) Forum. The two honors students, as well as other senior finance students who are members of WCSU’s Finance Club, represented one out of the 160+ schools in attendance from around the nation. Dr. Lin served as a faculty advisor for the club, where he oversaw the trip and ensured students went where they needed to go. He also attended panels with the students, encouraging them to ask questions, which sparked many meaningful discussions during the sessions.

Through this experience, Maia and Matthew gained the opportunity to connect with students and faculty from different universities, as well as network with various companies in attendance. Additionally, these students attended panel sessions where various CEOs, CFOs, and high-level professionals at notable companies like Blackrock, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley spoke on relevant financial topics and current events within the industry. This forum allowed the students to apply their financial education and knowledge, as well as learn from notable figures to further their career. This experience comes just in time for graduation for Maia and Matthew, who we know are destined for stellar finance careers with all their learning from events like the GAME Forum and the rigorous coursework of the Honors Program!
