2019-2020 Awards

JOHN EICHRODT PRIZE:  JOHN C. RILEY 

The John Eichrodt Prize honors the memory of the late Professor John Eichrodt, a member of the English Department, who was particularly well known for his critical acumen. The award is given for the best critical paper submitted by an undergraduate student during the school year. 

 

JOHN TUFTS PRIZE:  ALLISON M. MONTAGUE & JEFFREY A. GRASSO 

This prize was established in memory of Professor John Tufts, who was instrumental in establishing awards for student writing in the English Department. The prize is given for the best writing submitted to the English Department during the academic year.  

 

MOST PROMISING UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLAR:  JEFFREY A. GRASSO

This award recognizes the most promising student in the B.A. in English program. 

 

OUTSTANDING ENGLISH EDUCATION STUDENT:  ARIANNA N. STRAVATO

This award recognizes excellence in the English Education program.  

 

OUTSTANDING STUDENT SERVICE AWARD:  SOPHIA L. CASELNOVA

This award recognizes academic excellence and outstanding leadership in student organizations.
