Andrew first got into weather when he was very young. He was always fascinated with the way that clouds moved in the sky and the raw power of a thunderstorm. He then started learning as much as he could on his own. During junior year of high school, fate knocked on his door when he found out his chemistry teacher, Mr. Rosengarten, was a seasoned storm chaser. This same man would be the one to not only introduce him to the process of forecasting weather, but inspire him to study meteorology in college. Andrew is currently a junior at Western Connecticut State University and plans to graduate with his B.S. in Meteorology in 2013. Outside of meteorology, Andrew’s biggest passion is golf. He has worked at a golf course for the past 5 years and currently assists a golf professional in teaching the sport to kids 8-16 years old during the summer.
