WCSU holds Veterans Day Observance

DANBURY, CONN.
— Students, faculty and staff gathered on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, to recognize and thank veterans for their service on Veterans Day with a ceremony that featured the hanging of dog tags on a tree outside Warner Hall on the Midtown campus. The dog tags were made by students and community members and dedicated to specific service members in their lives. The tree will stand as a reminder of the bond the citizens of the United States share with the men and women of the Armed Forces. During the ceremony WCSU President Dr. John B. Clark spoke as well as John Cummings, president of the Student Veteran’s Organization; vice president Sarah Cummings; and Dr. Sharon Young, a professor of Social Work and adviser to the student veterans.
