Tricia Stewart, Department of Education and Education Psychology

Dr. Tricia Stewart teaches in the Doctoral Program in Instructional Leadership and teaching courses in leadership, research, and policy. She received her BA from in History from St. John Fisher College, her MS in Women’s Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and her doctoral degree in Educational Policy and Theory from the University of Rochester. Dr. Stewart has previously taught in alternative education programs and middle schools in New York State. Her research interests focus on educational policy studies including accountability and choice, high need sschool districts–urban and rural, and social class and inequality in education. She serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Education Policy, American Journal of Education, Journal of School Choice, and the Journal of School.
