2023 Tailgating Rules and Regulations

Location: Commuter Parking Lot adjacent to the Recreation Fields

(across from Centennial Hall) on the Westside campus

 

  1. Homecoming tailgating will be open at 11:00 a.m.
  2. Keg use, underage drinking, loud music, littering or other behavior deemed inappropriate will be grounds for immediate removal and revocation of tailgating privileges.
  3. All persons consuming alcohol must show their valid driver’s license or state I.D. at gate. Guests who drink alcoholic beverages are expected to drink responsibly. Guests must be 21 years or older to drink alcohol and receive a bracelet at the gate.
  4. The vehicle and the associated tailgating activities may only occupy one paid parking space.
  5. Pop-up tents require two spots, preferably on the grassy areas.
  6. Tailgating activities must be contained in the tailgating area. No alcohol may be taken out of the tailgating area.
  7. Saving a space for another vehicle is prohibited.
  8. Grills, coolers, tables, etc. must be set up in front or in back of the vehicle; however, in no event may tailgating activities obstruct the free flow of other vehicles and/or pedestrians.
  9. No charcoal fires.
  10. Open fire pits or large grills are permitted.
  11. No structure may be raised that requires supports pounded into the ground unless prior authorization is acquired.
  12. Bulk quantities of alcohol are not permitted.
  13. Glass containers are prohibited.
  14. Trash receptacles will be located in the tailgating area. Please dispose of trash in receptacles. (Each carload will receive a trash bag at the entrance.
