Graphics & Interactive Techniques Research Group

“If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?”

– Albert Einstein

Founded in 1999 by Dr. William Joel
the Graphics & Interactive Techniques Research Group provides a vehicle for students and faculty to engage in cutting edge research in computer graphics and interactive technologies.

Summer Graphics Research Institute:

Each summer, beginning in 2014, GITRG has sponsored a six-week research institute where students are hired as full-time research assistants. Each project team is assigned either one of several ongoing research projects, or a project new to GITRG. These summer endeavors have resulted in a series of presentation submissions to international conferences.
