Western Connecticut State College – then known as Wesconn – introduces its first football team, with Jim (James) Krayeske as head coach. As members of the Freedom Football League, the Wesconn Indians finish their first season in the FFL with a 2-2-1 record. Without any facilities of their own, the team practices at Rogers Park in Danbury, on a field adjacent to the War Memorial Building.
