September 30 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pmFree
*AFFILIATED EVENT: AUDITIONS FOR HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR: Our auditions will be in-person at 67 Main Street, Old Town Hall Theater, Brewster, New York from 6 to 10 p.m. Please schedule your in-person audition online.
Rehearsals will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rehearsals begin Saturday, October 8. Performances are December 9, 10, 16 & 17 at 8 p.m. and December 11 & 18 at 7 p.m.
Act One is a telling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol
Act Two is a Holiday Musical Revue, consisting of holiday classics such as:
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “No Place like Home for the Holidays,” “Santa Baby,” “The 12 Days of Christmas,” “White Christmas and I’ll be home for Christmas.”
Along with some “not so traditional” holiday songs like:
Frosty vs Santa (a westside story rumble), The Chanukah song, Heat Miser/Snow Miser tap and the Brewster
Water Glass orchestra performing Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy with no instruments other than dinner spoons and finely tuned glasses of water.
The Christmas Carol has been trimmed down from 16 actors to 9. Performing in this show will be extremely challenging, and it will take months of hard work to pull off; but we’re going to have a helluva good time in the process.
Auditions will be held by appointment only at Old Town Hall in Brewster, 67 Main Street, on Friday September 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. Dance callbacks will be held on Saturday October 1 in the same location. To schedule an appointment, please click HERE.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled audition time to check in.
For the audition, prepare 16-32 bars of your favorite Christmas song to be sung a capella -AND- a monologue NO LONGER than 2 minutes.
ALL 7 adult actors (4 Male, 3 Female) will play multiple roles in A Christmas Carol (with the exception of Scrooge) and will perform in multiple numbers in the holiday revue. Child actors will only perform in Act One. British/cockney accents are encouraged for ALL but not required.
