Faculty Biographical Sketches
Joseph Oyeniyi Aina, Department of Nursing
Dr. Aina is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing. He joined the Department in the fall of 1999 after teaching for 22 years at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. His principal teaching assignment is psychiatric-mental health nursing but he has also taught research at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has over 50 publications including conference papers, a book and a chapter each in three books.
He is active in both the university and the community serving on a number of departmental and university committees. He is also serving the Board of Director of a not for profit community organization in Danbury and two other national organizations. His research interest is in mental health issues and nursing education.
