Faculty Biographical Sketches
Edward Duncanson, Department of Education and Educational Psychology
Dr. Edward Duncanson, who is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Educational Psychology, has earned several degrees and certificates. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from New York University and a Master of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma. He earned his Ed. D. in Administration from Seton Hall University. His doctoral research focused on the impact of classroom organization in grade 4 on student achievement in science. In addition, he is certified in New York State as a School Administrator/Supervisor and as a Secondary Science Teacher. He worked for 37 years as a science teacher in grades 7-12, and served as a School District Science Coordinator.
Dr. Duncanson has been an educational consultant for public schools focusing on the creation of kit-based inquiry science programs. His areas of professional interest include: the structure and process of inquiry teaching and learning, classroom organization, and the use of data to inform instruction.
