DISABILITY PRIDE – INCLUSION AND BELONGING TRAINING: The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is promoting this virtual training from Leaders for Inclusion (LFI).
Join us for a presentation hosted by staff of Michigan Disability Right Coalition’s Leaders For Inclusion (LFI) Program . During the presentation, LFI will discuss ways community organizations can become more authentically inclusive of people with disabilities, not only in terms of physical access but in planning and programming and ensuring people with disabilities’ voices are at the table and heard. LFI will discuss topics such as Disability History and Pride, Ableism, Inclusion, Belonging, and steps toward making your organization more inclusive. Our services also include technical assistance, follow up and accountability after training as organizations and professionals journey to become more inclusive.

Who should attend? We want to connect with organizations, companies, businesses, and non-profits that serve the community. Individuals that are a part of an organization, committee, or board that can create access for people with disabilities, this training is a good introduction to creating inclusive spaces. Individuals with disabilities and our allies that have a desire to learn more are welcome.
This session will be interactive with time for questions, resource sharing, and brainstorming!
