Western Connecticut State University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Per the Commission’s Periodic Review Guidelines, WCSU undergoes a Comprehensive Evaluation every 10 years. To prepare for this review, WCSU prepares an evidence-based Self-Study, aligned with Commission Standards. The Self-Study is vetted by a Visiting Team assembled by NECHE. The Visiting Team submits a report to the Commission who provides the final report on continuing accreditation. Western Connecticut State University has been accredited by NECHE (formerly, NEASC) since 1954.
