Dr. Michael Lavine

Michael Lavine earned a PhD in statistics in 1987 and was subsequently a Professor of Statistics at Duke University for 20 years.  He left Duke in 2008 to join the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  While at UMass he served as Department Head for three years.  He left UMass in 2018 and is now the Program Manager for Probability and Statistics at the Army Research Office.  He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
