MFA Creative & Professional Writing

Graduate Assistants & Teaching Opportunities

To gain professional experience as a writer and/or educator (and reduce tuition costs), students may choose from a variety of Graduate Assistantships (GA). GAs work on campus in a wide range of academic and administrative departments as well as assist with the publication of our graduate literary journal, Poor Yorick. GAs have tutored in the Writing Center, produced website copy for the Provost’s Office, developed marketing and social media campaigns for our Public Relations department, and co-taught undergraduate writing courses. Students interested in a GA position should contact Anthony D’Aries to discuss details.

More information on the GA application process can be found here: Graduate Assistantships
