Our team of professional advisors are here to acclimate students to a new campus, new culture, and new beginnings to make lifelong friendships, develop new perspectives, and become socially conscious members of our University community.

Advisement at WCSU is a consistent and continuous process. We meet with you throughout the year and learn about your goals so we can guide you through your educational journey.

Western has a holistic model of academic advisement which provides every student with an advisor starting with the University Advisement Center, and then moving to a Faculty Mentor from their declared major.

University Advisement supports students in their academic journey by offering guidance on major requirements, assisting with course selection each semester, and providing information on university policies and procedures.

Students are responsible for initiating contact with their assigned advisor early in each semester to form a relationship with their advisor. Advisor information can be found in each student’s BannerWeb account under Advisor & Registration Information.
