IT Support Guides – Teaching, learning and working remotely and on campus

We wish a warm welcome to our Western Connecticut State University students, faculty and staff as we begin the Spring 2021 semester.   Please refer to the IT Guides below so you can easily find instructions, support and links to the technology that will help you effectively learn, teach and work –  both remotely and on campus.

Three powerful capabilities that support remote work are Cisco Jabber, Microsoft Teams and several ‘e-meeting’ capabilities that include Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams and BlackBoard Collaborate::

  • New – Zoom.  Similar to WebEx, MS Teams and BlackBoard Collaborate, allows you to meet virtually.
  • Cisco Jabber delivers instant messaging, voice and video calls, voice messaging, desktop sharing, conferencing, and presence. Find the right people, see whether and how they’re available, and collaborate more effectively.
  • Microsoft Teams is the hub for team collaboration in Microsoft 365 that integrates the people, content, and tools your team needs to be more engaged and connected.
