Auditions & Portfolio Reviews for Admission
Certain areas of study within the School of Visual and Performing Arts require the competition and passing of an audition or portfolio review for acceptance into the program. This page serves as a directory to find information on upcoming auditions, audition requirements, and program information. Theatre
All students looking to be considered for acceptance to the BFA Musical Theatre program must first submit a pre-screen video. Details regarding the pre-screening requirements are included in the link above.
Upcoming auditions for the BFA in Theatre Arts – Acting and BFA in Musical Theatre program are:
- Saturday, December 2, 2023
- Saturday, February 3, 2024
- Friday, March 1, 2024
Pre-screen submissions are required for the BFA in Theatre Arts – Acting and BFA in Musical Theatre. Pre-screen submission deadlines:
- For the 12/2/23 audition, prescreens must be submitted no later than 11/1/22
- For the 2/3/24 audition, prescreens must be submitted no later than 1/1/22
- For the 3/1/24 audition, prescreens must be submitted no later than 2/1/22
Prospective BFA in Theatre Arts – Design/Tech and BFA in Theatre Arts – Stage Management students are asked to schedule an in-person interview on one of the following dates:
- Saturday, December 2, 2023
- Saturday, February 3, 2024
- Friday, March 1, 2024
Prospective BFA in Theatre Arts – Design/Tech and BFA in Theatre Arts – Stage Management must also submit
Music

Every program in the music department requires an audition for admission. Click the program you are interested in to view specific audition requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts in Music and Minor in Music
- Bachelor of Science in Music Education
- Bachelor of Music: Performance Option (Vocal and Instrumental)
- Bachelor of Music: Jazz Studies Option
- Bachelor of Music: Audio and Music Production Option

Art
The Department of Art does not require a portfolio review for admission to their undergraduate programs.
