Instructions for using CAPP
CAPP is the automated degree audit system that is part of Banner. In order to use it, you must log onto Westconnduit by entering your username and password.
Click the Banner tab, then Services to get the menu.

Select Current Degree Evaluation (CAPP) from the menu.

Select the current term and submit.

Enter the student ID# or name to proceed. Then click the submit button.

The system will ask you to verify that this is the student you selected. Press the submit button if the information is correct. It will now list the curriculum information for that student. Select Generate New Evaluation. If that is the current program you wish to run, click the button next to program and generate request.

The system automatically defaults to Detail Requirements. Click the submit button.
If you click Additional Information, it will list courses not used on the evaluation, rejected courses where the minimum grade was not met, etc. If you click Evaluation Summary, it will give you a summary of all major courses, all general education courses, free electives, etc. This differs from the Detail Requirements which lists all the required courses and tells you whether that requirement has been met or not.
Use the What-If Analysis if a student is considering another major. Also use the What-If Analysis when a department has made changes to a program and a student wishes to meet the new requirements rather than the requirements that were effective when they were admitted. To do this, click the most recent term and the Continue button. Select the program you wish to run and click the Continue button, Submit button, and Generate Request.
Should you have any questions or believe that CAPP is not auditing a specific program correctly, please contact the Academic Advisement Center at 837-8133.
