Novel Coronavirus and COVID-19

April 3 — Message from President Clark to Nursing, Allied Health and Pre-Med Students

April 3, 2020

Dear Nursing, Allied Health, and Pre-Med Students:

Earlier this week, Governor Ned Lamont made an urgent plea for those with experience in the health care field to volunteer to assist in the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He asked me to reach out personally to our nursing, allied health, and pre-med students to provide information about how you can sign up should you choose to do so.

Those willing to volunteer should register online at ctresponds.ct.gov and the Department of Public Health will match you with a location in need.

I want to be clear that this is an entirely personal decision. It is not required for graduation or credit. Rather, it is an opportunity for our talented students to support Connecticut’s medical efforts during this unprecedented time.

Thank you, be safe, and keep up the good work.

Sincerely,

Dr. John B. Clark

President
