Last month, Danbury Fire Department (DFD) and Modzelewski's Recovery & Repair held a joint training exercise at Westside Parking Garage.  DFD simulated an electric vehicle fire and practiced  safely extinguishing and transporting said vehicles.  Trainings such as this help WCSU prepare to keep our buildings and people safe in case of emergencies.  It was an eye-opening reminder of the unique challenges associated with EVs when it comes to fire safety.

We appreciate the hard work DFD puts into protecting our campus and community everyday.  We also thank those that may have been inconvenienced by the restrictions to the parking garage during this training exercise.
