Hazardous materials in the workplace can cause damage to the environment and negatively affect human health if they are not handled with care. EHS seeks to minimize the use of hazardous materials whenever possible. If hazardous products must be used, it is imperative to store, handle and dispose of those products in accordance with all relevant regulations and policies. EHS provides trainings to WCSU employees on how to handle hazardous materials, including what to do if they encounter hazardous building materials, such as Asbestos and Lead paint.
If you have are unsure about a particular product or have any questions/concerns related to hazardous materials, reach out to EHS for assistance.
