Annual Fund
Contributions to the WCSU Annual Fund play a key role to ensure that important elements of Western's mission -- quality academic programs, a student focused environment, outstanding faculty, and affordability -- not only are sustained but continue to thrive. The Annual Fund supports scholarships and financial aid, bolsters academic enrichment programs, allows students to participate in out-of-classroom opportunities and addresses areas of need that are beyond the scope of the university’s budget. Please give generously.
In addition to the personal satisfaction your gift will give you, you’ll receive a variety of other benefits when you become a member of one of Western’s giving clubs or societies.
The WestConn Phonathon is an integral part of the university’s annual fund campaign. Learn more about our hard working team of student callers.
Marjorie Echols entered WestConn with every intention of graduating with a nursing degree. But she took some art classes as electives and loved them so much she switched her major and was a member of the first graphic design graduating class at WestConn. Echols went on to a career working with contemporary Danbury artists at the Downtown Gallery, which rented art to area businesses and individuals. She also owned The Art Store in Danbury, offering art classes, a frame shop, gallery and art supplies. Echols maintained close ties to WestConn and its art department and upon her retirement donated a large collection of work from artists in the region. The collection is available for viewing at the Haas Library.
