Celebration of Black History Month through Art, Music, and Words

CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH THROUGH ART, MUSIC, AND WORDS: Student and faculty vocalists from the Music Department will honor Black History Month with a vibrant concert celebrating the music of Black composers at 3 p.m. in the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall in the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the Westside campus. In collaboration with the Art Department, the program will feature projected artwork integrated with the performance. Featured composers include Florence Price, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Margaret Bonds, Hall Johnson, Harry T. Burleigh, and others.
